Best Marlins World Series moment

Featured Replies

It's gotta be Renteria's hit in game 7. Can't beat that.

A close second has to be that rookie's (Miggy) opposite field HR off future HOF Roger Clemens 2 pitches after the inside pitch to brush him back. Evil Empire proceeds to crumble

Edgar Renteria's hit to win the World Series.

Like this better than 2003 when the tapper is hit back to Beckett....it was sorta of....just like another play :confused . It didn't have a feeling of finallity until after it was all over and you realize.....THEY WON THE FREAKIN' WORLD SERIES. With Renteria's hit....it was magical. :notworthy

Beckett tag out for the complete game win in Game 6, 2003. What a performance.

No doubt it was the best performance of any Marlin in a WS game, but that was a "performance", the thread title says "moment" which is not the same thing.

Renteria's game winning hit into CF, Council running home, stepping on the plate, and jumping in the air.

Awesome stuff.

I said the "tag out"....that constitutes a moment.

i was at the game the best part was see the yankee fans cry

That was almost worth more than winning the series, seeing those spoiled brat fans lose. Just as satisfying as seeing the Pasties get to 30 seconds before a perfect season, just to have it pulled right out from under them. Ya gotta love it :thumbup

Roger Clemens saluting the fans as he is walking off the mound at the pro in his last game ever.

oh the memories.

What a big phoney and egotist that guy is. :thumbdown

I was a fan of Clemens at the time but I sure as hell wouldn't have stood up and clapped for a member of the opposing team in the middle of the world series.

Now that's priceless.
