I've thought about this, and its got to be between left field, first base, second base, third base and catcher, right?

 

It can't be shortstop because thats easily the key to all infield defense, and it can't be center or right because they're both more difficult than Left.

 

If I had to choose, I'd say probably first base. Thoughts?

I voted for LF, but I think LF/1B are interchangeable.

Id say left, i guess cuz they ask less of you from there. They assume you have a bad arm and you are a bad fielder already so its the lowest expectation...In 2nd you have to turn double plays, and in first you gotta pick those bad throws, and in 3rd you also gotta pick hard liners hit to you, so id say left.

Left field is the easiest, but that could pretty much be said about RF also, 1B is not as easy as people think you need to have some pretty good reflexes to catch the bad throws.

Just look at where they've put guys like Fernando Tatis and Conor Jackson to play.

Also, even Miguel Cabrera looked his best defensively, with us, when he was in LF.

It's for sure LF. The only reason you don't see ALL the bad fielders put out there is you have to at least be able to run a little bit to play OF, so if you can't, you go to 1B of course.

1B is where they stick all the faties that can't move so that gets my vote. Catcher is probably the toughest position to play.

LF is where most of the slow veterans play. I think SS is the hardest position to learn though.

Depends, is it bad because of natural skill or bad because of a lack of fundamentals?

Btw, before anyone asks about Conine's 2nd stint with the Marlins:

 

In 2003, he played 118 games at 1B, and 31 in LF...but the 1B stats were mainly with the Orioles. Here he was our LF'er; D.Lee was the 1B.

In 2004, he played 83 games in LF, and 56 at 1B.

In 2005, he played 36 games in LF, and 28 at 1B. He also played 26 games in RF, in '05.

 

Therefore, his career as a Marlin, was mostly spent in LF; NOT 1B.

from personal experience, catcher is the toughest position to play on the field, i always found 2nd to be easy but u also have to be quick, i would say 1st base just because i never found it that difficult to pick a bad throw, but in LF there is always the sun sticking out during a fly ball making it tougher to see, and on a high fly ball its really hard to judge where its going to go.

Its gotta be 1B...after that would be LF cause you at least need to run a bit out there...

 

If you suck, you get 1B, if you suck but can run some, you get LF...

 

Catcher is definitely the toughest, then probaby SS...you need some great reflexes at 3rd, and I'd say CF is underrated...there's a lot more out there than LF and RF combined just cause of all the ground you need to cover
