August 16, 200817 yr Yeah, because pointing out the flaws on the team and watching them play so badly and coming to the conclusion that the chances of them winning the division are very unlikely makes me not a fan. In order to be a fan, I have to ignore the obvious flaws of the team and pretend that magical fairies will come to make them better at baseball. No, in order to be a fan you have to stay positive, or at least try. I understand if you're frustrated, especially after a loss like tonight, but I cant remember one game thread in all the time I've been here that you haven't said "He sucks, get him out of there!" Now, this isn't even late in the game, you usually say this in the first couple inning once the pitcher gives up his first run. Pointing out flaws does not include "f*** you, you're the worst pitcher ever!" Real fans are classy and real fans stay with their favorite team on matter what. Since you dont have both of those qualities, I dont think you can call yourself a real fan. Its people like you who need to change their attitudes quick, and start growing up. Yeah, a guy who roots for the Marlins every year since 1993, is not a true fan. Yeah, its pretty obvious I haven't stuck with the ballclub. Even during the dark days after 1997. What do you know about me? Absolutely NOTHING. And no, I really don't care if I fit into your narrow view of what a fan really is. Wow. I sure would have hated to have known you back in those days. Actually, you most likely would have made the ignore list a long time ago, so this conversation would not be taking place.

Their best pitcher on the mound, two errors puts a runner at 3rd with 1 out, and he dosen't cross the plate. Same-o, same-o. The home plate ump was lousy amd inconsistent in his strike zone. But he was lousy and inconsistent to both teams.

DUH! act like a damn fan instead of always putting the team down Why does acting like a fan mean acting like you? He's here because he's a fan. If he didn't give a crap he wouldn't be paying attention, he wouldn't be bothered by what happens and he sure as hell wouldn't be here. Fans have opinions and they are not clones. Why is that so difficult to understand? Because instead of cheering for them, he bashes them. to me thats not a real fan Me and Magnus don't agree about everything, but there is no way you can say he's not a fan. The man is a die hard. Gotta agree here. I despise such negativity and the generalization statements that he is so well known for. But there is no written law on how a "fan" behaves. He's just not the type I would want to watch a ball game with.
