Does anybody have any idea what he will command this off-season?

He may be a possibility for us if other teams don't take...

He's a waste of money. The guy had a fluke season this year. He was never any good before then.

I have a feeling his numbers are for real. Nothing to back myself up, just a gut feeling.

While not being as good as he was this year, Mike Lowell was still among one of the better-hitting 3B in baseball the past 3 years. You can't say that about Guillen and RFs.

lowell was a proven 20-24 HR hitter since like 1999... guillen was a journy man minor league scrub... tampa bay didnt even want him :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol

i hope that was a joke wild c.

I think Guillen is going to be a .280+ 20-25 HR guy for the next few years. He had a hole in his swing, he fixed it. I mean this guy WAS a huge prospect and he was solid for the Pirates when he first came up. I think it just took him a little longer to put it all together.

That being said, he does have a reputation for being a problem in the clubhouse. Fair or unfair, I don't know.

he was in bad situations for the early part of his career, Pitt TB Ari 4th OF in cicni... he can produce comparable #s to Enc but with less speed.

if the price is right :thumbup

Man you know what'll be funny if we get guillen, and eveyone thinks that lst season was a lucky season, but he does even better with us something like this,.405-batting average,55-homeruns,160-rbi's,lol

Sorry, Vlad will be playing in right. No where to put Guillen.

I heard or read somewhere that he is a bit problematic. . .

My point exactly. That's the reason he may come cheap.

But this is a very latin team, and it seems tome that just about any person can mesh here.

i dont think anyone is arguing that..... although one could argue that

money is gonna be the difference between the two

guillen will probly get like 11 mill

I highly doubt that...probably no more than 3yrs at 7-8 mill per. This is if he's lucky.

That's a good question. He's never made a million in a season yet, and had a good contract drive year. He should be affordable.
