Nny
Geovany Soto?
Marlinswschamps2008
They both deserve considerations. I'll give it to Baker because he has done a terrific job both calling the game and offensively.
dim
No, because of a guy in Cincinnati who goes by the name of Bruce Almighty, Geovany Soto really is a shoe in for the award
Marlinswschamps2008
Geovany Soto? Yeah he will most likely win it.
MrMarlinPride
damn i forgot Soto was a Rookie. Well is there an award for a pitcher and fielder because Volsatd has had a good year. OH and has Jay Bruce really had that good of a year?

MrMarlinPride
How Many AB's Games or IP do you need to qualify to be a Rookie next Season? I doubt Bake and Volstad get that option.

You read my mind. I was gonna ask the same thing. :mischief
Nny
considering that Votto's been doing it over a full season, yes. same when talking about only pitchers. Volstad's been cool but guys have twice the IP would be better candidates (Jurjjens, Kuroda, Campillo, Lannon)

Volstad might win but Jurjins has had a better Year
dim
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/16519-a...-of-the-year-is This was made at the beginning of the year, pretty off topic, but just felt like adding this

Eddie Altamonte
Geovany may get close to a unanimous vote for ROY, he has had it locked since almost the all star game, and hasn't done anything but perform consistently day-in and day-out
fanofthefish
Neither will receive serious consideration, but should get a couple of votes. Next question who wins the Marlins ROY?
