September 22, 200818 yr Any Chance either of these 2 win the NL Rookie of the Year award? they have had great seasons Baker is now batting .302 in 180 AB's Volstad has a 3 ERA in 70 + Innings I really cant think of any one else that deserves the Award. what do you guys think?

Never said Bruce is going to win, but yes he has had a hell of a year, Soto wins it hands down though, and Volstad and Baker came here too late

September 22, 200818 yr considering that Votto's been doing it over a full season, yes. same when talking about only pitchers. Volstad's been cool but guys have twice the IP would be better candidates (Jurjjens, Kuroda, Campillo, Lannon)

September 22, 200818 yr well, Jay bruce does have 21 homeruns, and he didnt even play in april and may. But Soto wins it hands down. Hes been great this year and hes on the best team in the NL

September 22, 200818 yr Geovany may get close to a unanimous vote for ROY, he has had it locked since almost the all star game, and hasn't done anything but perform consistently day-in and day-out
