January 16, 200917 yr What's up with all these Cam Maybin average predictions? Anything .290+ is wayyy too much to expect this season.
January 16, 200917 yr I predict Jeremy Hermida will prove this board wrong this year. I'll agree with that. Finally.
January 16, 200917 yr I predict Jeremy Hermida will prove this board wrong this year. I belive so to it was my avatar for 2 months you know! But he should break out because if he dosen't he's on a 1st class ticket to Nowhere'sville home of Busts in sports
January 16, 200917 yr I also think Andrew Miller will do fine...Anibal Sanchez, on the other hand, I think will struggle.
January 16, 200917 yr I also think Andrew Miller will do fine...Anibal Sanchez, on the other hand, I think will struggle. Again... I agree. Is it a full moon tonight? :confused
January 16, 200917 yr Pitching for me is difficult because projecting Innings and K's isn't really possible or accurate but W-L ERA are better for estimates Nolasco 16 -8 3.56 ERA Johnson 18-7 2.98 ERA Cy Young Award Canidate Volstad 15-10 3.90 ERA Anibal 13-12 4.20 ERA Miller 15- 8 3.60 ERA(Breakout season if he can pitch like he did when he got called back up) Pinto 12 HD 2.10 ERA (Hoping he comes back fresh strong and not overworked with Tucker also setting up) Tucker 4 SV 1BS 23 HD 3.10 ERA ( If Lindy Struggles or gets injured Tuck is a great replacement just needs to get ahead of batters) Lindstrom 35 Saves 5 BS 3.20 ERA
January 16, 200917 yr Tucker 4 SV 1BS 23 HD 3.10 ERA ( If Lindy Struggles or gets injured Tuck is a great replacement just needs to get ahead of batters) There's a good chance Tucker doesn't even make the team.
January 16, 200917 yr I also think Andrew Miller will do fine...Anibal Sanchez, on the other hand, I think will struggle. Again... I agree. Is it a full moon tonight? :confused I do as well, he didn't look as sharp as he used to be with worse command and curve didn't have that break that always used to freeze batters but he can back with a better fastball so thats a plus. Also Miller has nasty stuff with the slider and change along with a heater that can reach 96 or 97 with movement
January 16, 200917 yr Tucker 4 SV 1BS 23 HD 3.10 ERA ( If Lindy Struggles or gets injured Tuck is a great replacement just needs to get ahead of batters) There's a good chance Tucker doesn't even make the team. He'll be around in the minors for a while and when things start to form and bullpen picthers begin to struggle im pretty sure he'll be one of the 1st ones getting the call up, probably before the ASB

If he's getting called up in June-July and he's getting your predicted #'s...the Marlins are getting a lot of wins!

Damn right, im seeing a really hot start but a cool down after the ASB but pick it up in August and September where we manage to win the Wild Card and win the WS.
January 16, 200917 yr it's always amazing to me how quickly people will turn on a player. Anibal went from an ace in 17 starts, thanks to an extremely low BABIP, to not being a major league pitcher over the course of 10 starts, thanks to a high BABIP and being rusty from injury.

I was never really an Anibal fanatic to be fair. I wasn't on this board for his great rookie year, but I never saw anything special in his stuff. Plus, torn labrums are always tough to comeback from.
January 16, 200917 yr Again, I'm not saying he will...I'm just saying it's very possible. Getting saves is team dependent. It all depends on how many opportunities he gets, and looking at this roster, on paper, it looks like the Marlins are going to be playing close ballgames, when you consider the good pitching...+ some less power in the lineup. There should be some more low scoring games this year, imo. That's my prediction. It all depends on how many opportunities he gets....when you consider the good pitching. Very well said. Like I mentioned before I really hope all of these predictions are right.

Thats my main concern, he pitched diferently after the injury but i don't know if it is acually because of the injury or mechanic issues.

I keep hearing you guys talk about the diffficulties of coming back from a torn labrum. I'll have to be honest, I am ignorant regarding this injury. Can someone please provide me w/ 2 things: 1) an example of other pitchers who have tried to comeback from this injury and failed. 2) and example of other pitchers who have comeback from this injury and succeded. Thanks in advance. :waving
