Interior renderings?

Featured Replies

Now that things appear to be more official with the official city and county votes of approval, I was wondering if we'll be getting any detailed interior renderings, with--for example--how the place would look if you are standing at home plate.

The images they released a few weeks ago were nice, but I want more!

I was at today's game and I could have sworn they flashed an interior concept shot for about a second on the board. When I got back home, I checked the team site and the new ballpark site but couldn't find a thing. Perhaps it was just in my head....

My friend called me up and told me they flashed an interior concept on TV too. I wanna see it!

They did show it and it looked great. I just can't find it anywhere online.

What inning did they flash the interior design? I am going to look it up on mlb.tv.

It was before the pre-game ceremonies.

you guys tonite is email tuesday nite for tommy and rich , if we get enough people to email about the interior renderings they might show it again and put it on the website .

I also saw it briefly on the scoreboard, and it was very nice looking, I wish they would add it to the website, so we can pick it apart detail wise. The seats looked teal btw from what I saw!

what do you mean ? did they show the outfield or the inside by like the concession and stuff like that ? what did it look like ?

Did it look anything like this?

If so, then this is actually from the 2005 renderings when the plan was to have the Orange Bowl and the new Marlins stadium share a wall/superstructure. The below newer rendeirng is the best idea (as of right now) of what the interior will look like (in terms of the glasswork which will now wrap around the whole exterior plus the hanging scoreboard). It looks to me as if they're going away from the "Wavy" strucutral look from the earlier design, as well as the brick. The new renderings look to be very white/clean-looking. And of course, the centerfield feature, beach area and bermuda triangle are new additions. Another notable change in my book is that the new stadium looks to only have 1 club/suite level as opposed the previous 2. I'm willing to bet all of these changes were made in order to keep the cost down.

Wrong. The above rendering was from the proposal to have the ballpark on Bicentennial Park. It had nothing to do with the Orange Bowl as you mentioned above.

The first official interior rendering of Marlins Stadium. I'd still love to see some more detail, but it's a good start.

JUST BEAUTIFUL! btw do you know if, in the new stadium, you can still watch the game even when you are in line to get some food? I know most of the newer stadiums do not have seperate concourses, which is extremely convenient. I wonder if ours will have that.

It will. All of the new stadiums have the open concourses, and they are great. You can tell ours will have them if you look down the left field line in the rendering.

Yea I guess you can kinda tell that the seats go all the way back and there is no "inside area." That's gunna be fantastic and extremely convenient. How does that work though? I would like to see how it is in Yankee Stadium, Nationals Park, or at Citi Field.

This is what you were referring to.

Was it really necessary to have us hitting into a GIDP as part of the concept illustration?

I'm not sure we are, to be honest. The person at home plate, who I assume is the catcher, seems to be wearing home white.

That said, so is the on-deck hitter, which is why I'm not sure.
