AJ Burnett is a pretty good pitcher

Featured Replies

he's not only a great pitcher, he's also one of the coolest guys I have ever met. Trust me, you may never meet a nicer baseball player than him.

And yes, you probably jinxed his no hitter with this thread :p

Just like clockwork ... 2 minutes later, Crawford singles to left in the 7th to break up the no-hitter.

And now he's imploding, 3 straight hits, scoring a run.

This didn't shock me. As a Marlin, it always seemed like once something didn't go his way, he spiraled into major problems.

For the Marlins he was a sub .500 pitcher that couldn't stay healthy, for the Jays he was slightly ahead of .500 until last season he finally stayed healthy. When healthy and Motivated he can be one of the 10 best starters in baseball, but he playes for the Yankees and therefore he's dead to me now.

Was always my favorite of our prior big three.

Though it's nice to see Penny having success with the Sox early on, as well.
