May 6, 200916 yr The other day I was reading the marlins message board and saw this same thread spelled the same way. Considering sanchez just got hurt I don't think we'll see boni on the bench or in the minors. As for maybin I really don't know if the minors will help him.
May 6, 200916 yr Unless you mean they're clearly not major-league hitters in that they've not had even a full year's worth of major-league hitting, then yeah. Otherwise, XFD no.
May 6, 200916 yr the funny thing is that this thread comes up coming off a week where Maybin batted a respectable .280+ and Bonifacio is finally seeing pitches better and actually getting some better hits. So I just find the timing of this thread extremely funny.

May 7, 200916 yr Neither are regulars on a contending team. Perhaps they'll be ready in 2010, but they're overmatched now.
May 7, 200916 yr Neither are regulars on a contending team. Perhaps they'll be ready in 2010, but they're overmatched now. Define "contending team". First: We are one. Second: Even contending teams don't have great hitters or even average hitters 1-8, especially not at CF.
