CF - Juan Pierre 2b - Luis Castillo LF - Miguel Cabrera 3b - Mike Lowell C - Pudge Rodriguez SS - Alex Gonzalez RF - Juan Encarnacion 1b - Derrek Lee that line up would kill this line up! 3b - Bonifacio C - Baker SS - Ramirez 1b - Cantu 2b - Uggla CF - Ross RF - Hermida LF - Coghlan I mean seriously there is no way to compare! This team blows compared to that 2003 team. I've said it before, and ill say it again! The fish made a major mistake in trading Cabrera for the losers they got in return. Had they kept Cabrera in this line up to protect Hanley this line up would be seriously better! Just picture Cabrera in the middle of this line up with Cantu hitting ahead of him or behind him! And another mistake was ditching all their pitchers, and not having a plan b if these kids we got up were not ready! They didnt even bring in a vet we could have had a Brad Penny for cheap this year, and they did nothing! They think they know it all but they don't think of the what if's! Uggla has been terrible since last All star game where he looked like a joke infront of the entire world! I think once he knows he's not going this year he might snap out of it this might all be in his head to be honest, and as far as the hitting right now we're simply an ok hitting team. With a slugger like Cabrera we would be much upgraded... But one thing is 100% for sure! You can't go from Cabrera to Cantu to Bonifacio at 3b, and expect it to result in anything good...

And by the time the playoffs rolled around he was a part of our middle order. This team doesn't have a shred of the talent that team did. Just think of the guys like Beckett, Willis, Lowell, Pudge, Pierre and Lee. These are all guys who have been to the top of the game at points in their career. I would put Johnson and Ramirez in that category, and Uggla for half a season, but those guys does not a team make. As a team, we're not really under achieving. If you take last year's team and just subtract a bunch of solid contributors, you're left with the scraps of a team we have left.
