June 1, 200917 yr jacques martinhas left his gm job with the florida panthers to coach the montreal canadiens.YOU WILL NOT BE MISSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
June 1, 200917 yr Actually... he will be. He brought stability and control to our management... if we can pull someone out better thats great... but by the judgment of this franchises ownership... not gonna happen. f*** you JM for leaving.
June 1, 200917 yr trading the best goalie in the league Roberto Luongo for sh*t pieces doesn't help build a winning team.
June 1, 200917 yr Author also he traded oli jokinen and that will not help us win at all so thank you jacques martin for leaving. :notworthy :notworthy :notworthy :notworthy :notworthy
June 1, 200917 yr Oli Jokinen wasn't happy with the team anyway, he wasn't going to stay anyway, so it wasn't a bad thing to get value for him before he left in free agency.
June 1, 200917 yr I'm pretty sure though that we got screwed again by him leaving now of all times with the draft coming up (with JM doing most of the scouting) and not to mention any free agents he might have talked to as well as Jay Bouw (who is probably leaving anyway)
June 2, 200917 yr trading the best goalie in the league Roberto Luongo for sh*t pieces doesn't help build a winning team. Jacques Martin didn't make that trade, but ok.
June 2, 200917 yr also he traded oli jokinen and that will not help us win at all so thank you jacques martin for leaving. :notworthy :notworthy :notworthy :notworthy :notworthy That trade brought us back our most consistent defenseman last year, in Keith Ballard, who oh btw, is signed long-term, at a young age. It also got us a decent year from Nick Boynton, and a prospect defenseman in Colby Robak who could be a part of the team's future. Olli Jokinen isn't even in Phoenix anymore. Gotta love when people talk about something they don't know about.
June 2, 200917 yr Author yeah ok your are completely right trading oli brought us more consistent defense man but answer ?me this question did the organization ever make an effort to get another top scorer so that oli every game have to be the saivor every night imnot saying the trade was completely bad im just saying this organization never built a team around this guy when thet should have.

That's b/c the GM's before Martin were clueless. Also, Jokinen gave up on the team his last year here.
June 3, 200917 yr Author he didnt give up on us richard zendik got injured and he couldnt score anymore.
June 3, 200917 yr Actually... he will be. He brought stability and control to our management... if we can pull someone out better thats great... but by the judgment of this franchises ownership... not gonna happen. f*** you JM for leaving. The panthers have been pretty stable, 10 years in a row without making the playoffs.
