June 9, 200917 yr The point is, Lindstrom has had terrible games, and has had very good games. All he has to do is be consistent. That's easier said than done. He has a lot of work to do, if he wants to get to "consistent." Considering he's not exactly pitching in a mop-up role, he better get it fixed, soon. He was consistent his first two years, what makes you think he can't be consistent again? He better get it fixed, soon or what? Are you going to bench him coach? Note to you: You aren't the coach. Lindstrom has done a lot for this organization in the last 2 years. He's pitched well and therefore earned the spot to be closer. Are we all frustrated that he has been "not good" and inconsistent? Sure. Why? Because we know he is better than that. I will continue to support him and root for him even if you don't think he "deserves" the role. Fact is you can't say nothing about it because it's not up to you. There are a lot more people on this who support him (and it's funny because you think they support him because he throws a 100) . I said last year. Last year he was sent to the minors. Last year he had a 1.45 WHIP. Last year he posted 43 K's to 26 walks. I'm not an idiot. Does Lindstrom have good stuff? Yes. However, he's 29. While that's not old, it's not exactly young, either. At what point does he put it all together, consistently, for a year? I mean, there's not much looking at statistics that indicate that this guy will ever be that dominant guy in the 9th. Not even if you look at his minor league #'s. At what point do you "believers" just accept that he's pretty much...average?

You said it yourself, he has good stuff. There is no reason to believe he cannot be dominate in the closers role. We just have to wait and see.
