Starting to feel that Hanley doesn't want to be here anymore

'EVERYBODY PROFESSIONAL' GOES BY A FANTASY BASEBALL RATER THAT HAS JONATHAN BROXTON AS THE 12 MOST VALUABLE PLAYER IN BASEBALL?????

OH MY GOD!

He's 6-0, has 16 saves, 54 K's, a 1.85 era, and a 0.74 whip. Am I missing something here?

If you think a reliever is the 12th most valuable player in baseball, yes you are.

So are you implying that K-Rod wasn't one of the most valuable payers in baseball last year because he was a closer/reliever?

Not even close to top 12.

I won't imply it, I'll flat out say it. He wasn't even the most valuable pitcher on his own team. I'll go with Jose Arredondo and maybe Scot Shields out of the pen because they came in in higher leverage situations, and Joe Saunders and Ervin Santana were both far more valuable than him last season.

Hey, you finally got one!

If anyone actually believes Hanley wants to be here they're delusional. He wants to wake up and play for the Marlins about as bad as I wanna wake up go to work, or even worse, wake up in be a garbage man.

B/c you've talked to him before, right?

No, but he's talked to us, the media, an everyone else who has an internet connection and cares to pay attention to the truth. He began the season with trade demands, and has carried a bad attitude throughout the season. On top of that, his numbers have drastically dropped for reasons unknown to all but himself. He's acting and playing like a man who no longer wishes to be here.

He's also stated many times that he wants to be here. Said it when the team was in Boston. Did you miss that, or do you only hear what you want to hear?

As for his #'s, if you're going by that...then boy, I certainly hope he feels like playing soon! His "down" #'s have him as the best shortstop in baseball...I mean, only Jason Bartlett in his career year, by far, has been better.

Not to mention he DID sign a contract here. Was not obligated to, either.

But hey...you go on assuming.

He says what he's supposed to say until he gets angry enough to say or act out how he feels. What has continually demanding to be traded ever gotten anybody? Nothing, look at Chad Johnson.

Lol what I want to hear? I don't care where he's at or where he wants to be if he isn't helping us win ball games or doesn't want to be a Marlin.

That may actually have some validity if SS were the only position in baseball. Unfortunately for Hanley, it isn't. BTW, you can add Ben Zobrist to the list of SS that are having better seasons than Hanley. On top of that, he's neck and neck with Derek Jeter. They're ranked 50th, and 51st respectively. BTW, It isn't much to be proclaimed the best SS in baseball when there aren't really any good SS in baseball.

Yeah, because there's no such thing as having second thoughts. Most players that want to be traded originally signed a contract with the team they want to be traded from.

He is helping us win games.

50th and 51st in what?

Hanley's got an 80 point advantage on Jeter in OPS. Dumb. He's the best SS in baseball.

Player rater... http://games.espn.go...r?&startIndex=0

And before you go on about how player rater doesn't matter, everybody professional or otherwise goes by this rating system. Everybody.

:| :| :|

:lol

If that isn't the best post ever, there is no best post ever.

What the hell does this even mean?

It's this guy's kind of thinking that gives the younger baseball fan a bad name. The fantasy baseball/video game argument.

That said, Hanley is extremely valuable even in fantasy ball because he's an SS.
