Bruno

Anyone else see this movie yet? I just saw it this afternoon. It was pretty funny, but it was roughly similar to Borat.

7.5/10

IMO it was much funnier than Borat, in that it kept you laughing much longer throughout the movie. Borat was more trolling with traditional humor in there, whereas Bruno was almost all trolling, but IMO it was funnier that way.

I cant wait to see this, and hopefully will in the next couple of days. They had to release 2 versions of the film here, the original being rated 18, and now an edited version which has a 15 classification, so a wider audience can go and see it.

Not nearly as good, fresh or intelligent as Borat was, at least imo. To many cheap laughs, i.e. all the gay scenes. And there really were no memorable moments. After Borat you would hear people say "I like", "very nice" and many more of his catch phrases, Bruno won't have the same lasting effect. It does have some funny moments though.

5/10 for me.

I thought it was hysterical. I was also laughing at the people in my theater who walked out after a couple of the extremely gay scenes.

I haven't gotten a chance to see it yet because I need someone over the age of 18 to watch the movie with me and no parent wants to watch it.

I heard it was extremely gay at times with tons of penises but has some hilarious parts.

To me though, that's what made Borat annoying. Everyone who thought they were funny for imitating him for months after the movie had been released...

They're actually censored for all but like one or two times, it's not bad.

That's what my friends older sister said but the theaters won't lets us in unless and adult comes in with us. We've tried 5 theaters already :(

I don't see how people imitating Borat could hinder your ability to like the movie, I mean unless there were literally people imitating him when you WERE watching the movie, lol. I just think it's a testament to the movie's appeal and it's lasting effect on people. People quote movies all the time, and it's usually well known classics, even if it bothers you, I can't see how it affects the way you think of a movie.

I saw the movie, still think the movies aren't as funny as people make them out to be. Only scenes that really made me laugh were when he was inteviewing the parents to get the kids modeling roles and the tv talk show appearance.

5/10 imo

Oh no don't get me wrong. I thought Borat was great. I'm saying the lasting appeal of it was killed by people overquoting it and stuff.
