August 1, 200916 yr Bonifacio has been meh against lefties this year. Certainley better against righties. So, my guess is since Bonifacio is the super utility guy, he'll take Carrols spot, who also hit lefties well.

August 1, 200916 yr I mean I guess it DOES make sense to need to have an extra relief pitcher for now since we have Badenhop going as our 5th starter as of now. But still, that really sucks for Carroll. I honestly believe that having Carroll platoon with Hermida is more important than the extra reliever. I mean you can't really send Sanches down because Badenhop is in the rotation and we need that long reliever, but a guy like Ayala can go. We have guys like Donnelly and Calero, Ayala could've been sent down and it really would've set this team up better in the long run imo. Well now we are probably going to get the joy of having a Bonifaco/Hermida platoon or a C.C./Bonifacio Platoon along with 13 pitchers and one pitcher that we haven't used in 4 games. Yay

If that occurs in a game and Bonifacio has to play CF, we're left with ZERO backup middle infielders. This has to be temporary. BC will be back soon, I bet.

August 1, 200916 yr I guess the next blunder by Ayala will get him sent down for Carroll. Really, he's the only option to be sent down in our bullpen. Or Lindstrom goes back to the minors again if he can't be successful this time around.

B.C. and let me re word that, he is great defensively and can be on of the best while Bonifacio has played a total of 0 inning in CF and only 14 innings in the OF.

B.C. and let me re word that, he is great defensively and can be on of the best while Bonifacio has played a total of 0 inning in CF and only 14 innings in the OF. Well someone is going to have to start on Cody's days off, and a Boni/Ross CF/RF combo wouldn't be that much worse than a Ross/Hermida combo against LHP. And if we sent Boni down instead of BC we would have no backup at SS or 2B, unless you count Coghlan.
