Carroll didn't deserve this. I'm not going to try and make his offensive contributions to be more than they were, but his real value to this team has been defense. He has saved as many games for this team on defense as Helms and Gload have on offense. I shudder to think that Hermida is going to be out there during close games.

They want to have that extra pitcher for Badenhop's start.

I honestly believe that having Carroll platoon with Hermida is more important than the extra reliever. I mean you can't really send Sanches down because Badenhop is in the rotation and we need that long reliever, but a guy like Ayala can go. We have guys like Donnelly and Calero, Ayala could've been sent down and it really would've set this team up better in the long run imo.

It's for Lindstrom. Incredible isn't it? A guy who has hit lefties well and provided great defense gets sent down for a guy who has posted a 1.9 WHIP this year. Yipee!

BC is coming back as soon as he can. They know his value. This is just temporary because we basically have no 5th starter and our 4th starter is always viable to go tits up too.
