I still don't think it was the right move. You don't use your best relievers in a blowout.

And it's not like Sanches, Wood, or Donnelly are scrubs. They could have gotten the job done.

Edit: Lol, I didn't realize I said relievers, not best relievers.

At first I was ???

Then I realized how much smarter you two are than everyone else. Heck, we should have had Cody pitch in that situation. The guy hasn't pitched in 4 days, why get him some work in when he could very obviously go another couple days sitting?

Aren't you the same guys that think Leo should pitch in every save opportunity even if he is waaaaay beyond what he has ever done before?

"Calling Dr Andrews. Calling Dr Andrews. The Marlins board wants to buy you a new yacht."

Not sure how to respond to this post.

And like bobbob1313 said a million and a half times, yet you continue to ignore him, he is NOT pitching waaaay beyond what he has done before. He's going to be fine.

Like they did against Washington.

First game against the Nationals, we had a 4 run lead, not a 8 run lead.

Third game, Tim wood came in when the score was 8-5. 3 Run lead, not an 8 run lead. And Luis Ayala was the one who was resposible for that loss.

There was no reason for the Fredi to use Kiko Calero or Dan Meyer. I know Kiko Calero was on 4 days rest, but that shows how bad Fredi is. It's his fault he's on 4 days rest. He shouldn't be on 4 days rest. He should have been used in the Nats series when the games were close.

Brilliant response. It says right in the article he felt it his last appearance. But you don't think Fredi and the rest of the coaching staff knew that? Or do you think they should have used him because they knew they could blow out that surgically repaired knee and just gotten the problem out in the open so we could bring up some unproven to replace him?

These type of responses is why I don't listen to sports talk radio. People that one day hope to be assistant coaches for a T-ball team making comments showing why they haven't even gotten that opportunity yet.

Look past your own ego.

If you can.

What article? What article mentions he felt "it" 4 days ago.

Really, it's responses like these that make you annoying. I disagree with Fredi, kill me.

1. Leo was a starter for a good portion of his minor league career. He's nowhere near his season high in innings.

2. The great article states that Kiko started feeling the discomfort on Friday. Meaning there was no excuse to use the Tim Wood's and Luis Ayala's in Thursday's game, now was there?

How the hell can you guys be upset with Fredi for Him getting injured?

Are you kidding me?!?!?!?!?!?!

We're not. We're upset with Fredi for using him when he didn't have to.

Fredi didn't have to use anyone in particular really.

But let's continue the spill over of yesterday's 2 minute hate, it's highly entertaining.

Fredi had other options, but instead, he decided to use his two best relievers, Meyer and Calero. We were up by 8 runs. Not the best time to use your best relievers.

But, when the game is on the line, he uses the likes of Pinto and Lindstrom.

Am I the only one who sees something wrong with this?

We were up by 6 runs when Kiko went in. And no, maybe have been bitching about Pinto (and to a lesser extent Lindstrom) in tight games, but you're missing the argument that people are making against you. 6 runs is nothing in that ballpark against that team.

I disagree. 6 runs is 6 runs. You put in our other relief pitchers, who can get the job done in a 6 run game because they are not scrubs, and save your best relief pitchers for a tight game.

And it isn't the first time he's done this. I've come to the conclusion that, Fredi thinks Pinto and Lindstrom> Meyer and Calero.

Oh come on! I mean the Marlins twice in recent series have had experiences where 6 runs disapeared just like that. Once in Washington (6-0 lead), and remember us coming back from 6-0 against the Cubs. It doesn't matter what the lead is, YOU PLAY TO WIN THE GAME *in best Herm Edwards impersonation*

Shouldn't you play to win the game when the game is tight, as well (even moreso in that situation, since leads aren't as safe)? If yes, why is it that our manager likes to use (for example) Pinto over Meyer, in those situations? Don't get me wrong...I don't think Pinto is a bad reliever. He's not as good as his ERA, but not bad either. Back to my point though, why aren't our best relievers being used in the tighter spots, lately?

Am I the only one in here who thinks Donnelly might be our best reliever?

I for one cant blame Fredi for that one. We were playing THE PHILLIES!!!! I would have slammed the door in their face with Calero and Meyer as well. When your playing teams like that, you pull pout your best guns. Especially since the crap that happened in Washington.
