August 21, 200915 yr Bye. have fun dreaming. you know that this team is going nowhere. just look at this game for the inconsistencies and just the dumb things that they do. this guys is pitching into the 8th f***ing inning after throwing 30 pitches in the first. this is absolutely pathetic. and face facts, unless loria gives us more money to spend and actually get consistent bats and arms in the rotations, we really are nothing but an average to above average team, nothing special. So after losing only 2 series since the all-star break (soon to be 3) and having a hitting streak unheard of since the roaring 20's, you are now calling the offense inconsistent? The offense has been the saving grace of this team lately and you get upset when the ace of the Astros shuts the Marlins down? Please. I'm not saying that the team will be playing October baseball, but I'm not going to just concede the season with 40 more games to play (including 2 series against Philly) because we lose a series to the Astros. i really dont care about hitting streaks and this and that, because what does it matter if you are still not cashing in on those hits when you have guys like hermida and uggla hitting with those guys on base? granted we have been scoring a couple more runs, but then there goes the pitching turning to sh*t. this team just doesnt hae the consistency needed to be a legit contender. You mean the Dan Uggla who has been hitting .304/.407/.565/.973 in the past week? Or the Hermida that has been .357/.526/.643/1.169 in the past week? are you really going on past weeks games? granted uggla has been better lately, but hes also been inconsistent and pretty average since last june, but hermida has been awful all year, and the only reason he is on the team is because we have to wait for maybin to get past his super 2 status.

And those are the same users who will start making playoff threads when times get better. why are they just lame? why must people continue to lie to themselves. everyone knows that this is not a playoff team. and no, i will not stat making playoff threads when times get better, because times wont get better to the point where we are a legit playoff team until loria opens the damn checkbook and allows us to go get some veteran consistent players, we really arent much except a pretender. We don't need veteran players. What veterans do you want?
August 21, 200915 yr and after all of that we are only 5 games over .500 since then and havent made up any ground.when a team is on a 15 game 10+ hitting streak and youre only 9-6, then you have serious flaws, be it pitching (definitely) and getting those runs in consistently (yes) We're above league average with RISP so you're wrong there. And we knew at the beginning of the year that we were thin on rotation ready starters. Getting this far on what they have and was has happened is exceptional. And if you think the Marlins are the kind of team that goes out and signs proven veteran starters, you should find another team to be a fan of. They never have been and probably never will be. It's not a bad trade off to having the best scouting department in the game.
August 21, 200915 yr not only is he moqing us down but hes doing it will barely any pitches it will help if they would take a pitch. they showed the pitches by inning and it was something like 8,8,11,10,8,7 or something ridiculous like that. god i wish i could be in that dugout and just verbally beat the sh*t out of this team. lol... I can tell you have never played a competitive team sport in your entire life. Sorry, fair weather fans piss me off. ive been on my high school baseball and basketball teams for the past 3 years buddy, not to mention have played rec every year since ive been born. fair weather? ive had season tickets to the games the past 10 years ok.. whatever.. they're a sh*tty team and you know they are going to fail, you are a great fan for sticking by them even though you know they are going nowhere and they suck. My bad. i am sticking by them. id love for you to point out where i said that im done watching them. theres a difference between blatant homerism and being a realist. look at the phillies and look at us. huge difference, they are pretty easily a better team and will take the east. then we have the rockies who are pretty clearly a better team and if it wasnt for the rough start would be lightyears ahead of us and you and i both know that we arent catching them.
