This team needs Nick Johnson back soon.......

This team needs Nick Johnson back soon.......

by Joe Capozzi It doesn’t sound like Nick Johnson will play at all on the road trip. And there’s a decent chance he could end up on the disabled list, retroactive to Sunday when he left the first inning of a double-header with a stained right hamstring.

The Marlins will need to make a roster move to make room for Friday’s starter – the bet is that Anibal Sanchez will come off the DL to start in Atlanta. And that move could be to put Johnson on the disabled list.

If that happens, the Marlins would be without a bench player again. But then again, Johnson hasn’t played at all since Sunday.

What we do know is that Johnson won’t play until Sunday at the earliest, if then.

“Probably not tomorrow and maybe not even Saturday,’’ manager Fredi Gonzalez said when asked about Johnson’s availability. “And if we get to Sunday with him, why not go ahead and give him Sunday off because you have Monday off.’’

And if the Marlins plan to do that, then why not put him on the DL? Stay tuned.

Johnson took some swings in the batting cage and did some light running. He planned to try to take batting practice with the Marlins later today. He took defensive drills before yesterday’s game and said he felt discomfort when getting down to field the ball.

Gaby Sanchez sure has helped.....

No offense to Rab, but I really hate Houston....

Holy f*** JJ has been terrible today. Looks like this one is gone.

And on a day the Giants lose. Oh this team is so exciting.

CMON f***!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This game Sucks.

Far far away from WC.

We are F8cked

it comes down to lost opportunities ....bases loaded ,one out in the first and we can only score one and not even a hit ....it's fustrating ........fck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yea, this season is slowly going down the drain.

And the wheels are coming off. We'll see how the team responds now that they may be back 6.5 games. What a waste.

As much as this game sucks right now, everyone needs to stop saying things about the season being over and whatnot.

1 down, 2 to go

I know the season isn't over. Still a lot of games left. Our "aces" need to be more consistent though if we are going to make the playoffs.

they need to go get jj ...we need to keep it a 3 run game .....we got a good offense ( not tonight so far ) and can score on the next four .......but we can not allow any more runs !!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, cause Josh Johnson is not allowed to have an off night. He needs to take a no-hitter into the 7th every start.

it probably about to be 8-1

Well, Josh has been consistent this whole season and everyone has their days.

Here comes...

THE LATIN LOCUST!

christian martinez is coming in????????????????

oh oh ...this doesnt look good ........hopefully it will work out .....

I hate Houston... it seems like we never have a good series in Houston

First time JJ hasn't gone 6 innings or more since July 1st.

Yeah, we TOTALLY need our aces to be more consistant than that >_>

Tip #1 for new guys:

Don't make a fool of yourself in the forums until you have settled down and everyone feel comfortable around you.
