16 innings! Bravo! He's one of our best relievers! Who needs Burke Badenhop when you have Tim Wood?? Lets just forget the fact that his ERA doesn't tell the whole story...with his 1.31 WHIP, and the fact that he's absolutely sucked with inherited runners. It worked out tonight. Sorry if I don't applaud the manager for the result. There were many more better relievers available to use in a tight spot in a ballgame.

It's reasons like this why everyone yells at Fredi for overusing relievers like Kiko and Pinto. For crying out loud, make up your freaking mind. You can't use a top reliever in the FIFTH inning all the time. Our bullpen is overtaxed as it is.

It's September now. Do or die time. No need to use the Tim Wood's and Christhian Martinez's of the world in meaningful situations. Also...Kiko Calero has pitched in 4 games, this month. He's not overused. Now that the game is 8-2, I'm sure Fredi will use Kiko and Meyer in less meaningful situations tonight. It's what he likes to do.

That does not make Wood the best choice, this is not half of the season, our situation is a desperate one, the way I see it our choices are save the pen or win the games, however, that's only my opinion.
