November 13, 200322 yr Always have and always will say the greatest player ever is Willie Mays. Agreed.
November 17, 200322 yr #1 Willie Mays, #2 Ted Williams, #3 Alex Rodriguez, #4 OF #25... where does babe ruth fall on that list?
November 17, 200322 yr While Ted Williams was and probably will be one of the best hitters to ever play the game, Willie Mays was awesome on Offense and Defense. Willie Mays is my choice.

November 17, 200322 yr Author #1 Willie Mays #2 Babe Ruth #3 BarryBonds (will be #2 if he reaches 714) #4 Ted Williams #5 Hank Aaron
November 17, 200322 yr Some Say Ruth would have been in the HOF if he was a Pitcher Giantsin04... Wouldnt you say he could be the best overall Player? He would still be better than Bonds (with the seasons a few games shorter then)
November 17, 200322 yr Some Say Ruth would have been in the HOF if he was a Pitcher That's why I say he's the best player ever. Not only was he an amazing hitter, but he was an outstanding pitcher as well. Not to mention that he played in an era where less games were played, and homeruns weren't as numerous as they are today.

I agree! Babe Ruth is the greatest MLB player ever! :thumbup :elefant :compute :tv_happy :dkdance :deal
November 17, 200322 yr Nobody is better than Willie i dont remember seeing Willie pitch ir see him outhomer full teams this is hogwash Babe Ruth is by far the greatest of all time
November 18, 200322 yr #1 Willie Mays #2 Babe Ruth #3 Ted Williams #4 Alex Rodriguez #5 BarryBonds Alex Rodriguez is a great ballplayer, but he is not that high up just yet. Out of those five, this would be my order: 1.) Mays 2.) Ruth 3.) Williams 4.) Bonds :banghead 5.) Rodriguez But thats just me. :whistle
November 18, 200322 yr No one can beat Babe Ruth. I am sorry. He is the best all time and until someone in the NL starts every 5th day (and be a good pitcher) while outhomering other teams, I don't think anyone gets close. And for the record, I knew Teddy Ballgame in person, so I gave him the nod. Plus he is the best pure hitter ever.
November 18, 200322 yr The real list: 1. Babe Ruth 2. Willie Mays 3. Ty Cobb 4. Rogers Hornsby 5. Ted Williams
November 19, 200322 yr how could you leave off Bonds and Aaron? Aaron wasn't nearly as dominant as these five players. Bonds comes in at #6.
November 19, 200322 yr With all do respect to those who have voted for Williams, what morons are voting for Williams over Mays? Mays is bar-none the best player ever IMO, and he is for sure better than Williams, I mean OF #25 is ahead of Williams on my list.
