You can only have so much ML pitching ($$ reasons for us) and we have our starters for next season, so unless we are moving someone to the pen we don't go after ML ready starting pitchers. Thats why minor league pitchers are more appealing to us at this point.

Hey guys, you may want to keep this Gibbons stuff on the down low. Because if the Orioles hear your demands they'll stop talking to the Marlins. Gibbons is envisioned to be the Orioles' franchise player. He is featured in all their promotions. You can't turn on the local sports network for a hour without seeing a TV ad featuring Gibbons. The O's have faced criticism from fans and media pundits alike for not spending and keeping their name players. They are not going to trade Gibbons. Really we'd be lucky to get two pitching prospects and marginal hitting prospect.
