41-year-old bullpen vet with a 3.52 ERA and a 1.01 WHIP in 30.2 career innings here. Wasn't bad at all overall last time he pitched, either: ERA under 4 in 43.1 innings.

Isringhausen? Pedro? David Weathers? Bradford? Ron Mahay? Maybe even /JArrod washburn possibly? Although i think i head about mahay signing with someone. Id love to have all of those guys for a try.

I would try to swap Strickland for Veras before going out and acquiring someone new. Hopefully he didn't hanging it up and it's not too late to give him a job.

Or give Vanden Hurk a look in the pen.

There are some solid bullpen arms. The problem is that the Marlins didn't maximize its efficiency when building the 25 man roster. Veras shouldn't have been given a spot at all, especially over Wood or Strickland.

Isringhausen's done for the rest of the year because of Tommy John and I think Bradford's retired. Washburn could work, though.

Washburn would start here.

So he starts and we throw Robertson into the pen. Fine with me.

Yeah, I'm just saying. That'd be fine with me too, though.

Robertson deserves to be a starter until he proves he can't get the job done. Granted, that could be sonner rather than later, but till then................

If Robertson starts pitching poorly. As far as I've seen, he's not been all that shabby since his return to teal.

Washburn would start here.

Only problem would be that we would then have 3 long relievers in the pen (Badenhop, Hensley, Robertson).

I don't care who is in the pen and what their role is...if they can get the job done, that's all that matters.

I'd take Seanez, but it feels like he's been in the league since the Carter Administration!

seanez would be nice. but there are some other names that intrigue me which i've posted in other threads. guys like russ springer and a former marlin like braden looper. all i know is that veras needs to go. i can live with everyone else that's in the pen but he's just horrible and i wish that fredi would stop being a dick and use guys like meyer in more important situations.

That doesn't really matter but Hensley could always go down.

Having 3 long relievers is a good thing, all other things being equal. It just means that you have guys capable of throwing multiple innings. It doesn't necessarily mean that they are worse per inning. So if they can all be effective, then it's a good thing.

Especially for this team, btw, with the question marks in our rotation.
