Hammerhead
Not trying to jinx anything but this team isn't very good vs left handed starters. .249/.334/.371, 7 HR, 42 R. I'm expecting decent things from Nate. Sorry. :whistle Sample size is too small to really draw any conclusions. Come mid/late June, sure. Now, no. Sure. It just surprised me that this lineup with all of their good RHBs as Rich and Tommy eluded to hit so poorly vs lefty SPs.

pollythewog
as much as a i dislike nate, the umpire's strike zone for him was much small than for mr. wainwright

ArtisticHate
Wainwright made the Marlins hitters look bad in that 4th inning. He's now at 74 pitches so, unless we can get to him in the 5th, he's going about 6 innings.
pollythewog
why swing at the first pitch coghlan?

ArtisticHate
God dammit, Coghlan. Well... Nate saw 7 pitches and singled to give me some hope that Wainwright would be out after 5. Then Coghlan hit the first pitch into a double play. :banghead Wainwright is now at 86 pitches through 5.

VAFishFan
Like it or not, Nate pitched a pretty good game... He is what he is, a WHIP pitcher... But we are facing Wainwright.

ArtisticHate
There's no doubt about the quality of Wainwright, I won't argue that, but if we had some more constructive ABs... we could've had him out of there after 5 or 6 innings. Now he's gone 7 and the Cardinals go setup man-closer and.... its a harder task.
TrustN61
Very disappointed. To much first ball hitting today. Discipline please.

Fish-crazy
Like it or not, Nate pitched a pretty good game... He is what he is, a WHIP pitcher... But we are facing Wainwright. Like I said earlier thought he'd settled down and put in some solid innings and he did. He just always seems to have one crappy inning every start. I have no confidence in the guy though,he makes me nervous as hell. Let's get some runs please
