All Star Game Starter Debate

And despite the horrible start Jimenez had tonight, he doesn't get a loss because his team was able to score 8 runs for him. But yeah, win-loss record is totally more impressive than the actual pitcher independent statistics.

14-1...super impressive!.........

Erick back with eyerolls again

If you notice Ubaldo didnt get a W, something that had only happen twice before today so the 14-1 was extremely impressive

If you notice, despite pitching like crap, he was actually in line after 6 innings to get the "extremely impressive W." It's really not that impressive, Josh Johnson would have a similar, if not better (considering he's pitched better) record if he had a quality team supporting him.

Ubaldo's start last night was terrible. on Sportscenter, Tim Kukjian said he'd go with JJ to start the All-Star game.

After Ubaldo's huge flop last night I feel like it should be even more clear that J.J. has earned his spot to start in the ASG.

J.J. hasn't gone less then 6 IP in any of his starts after his 1st two of the year and the most runs he's let all season was 4 on Opening Day.

Ubaldo's ERA has skyrocketed to 2.27 and his WHIP is up to 1.08 which is still solid but if J.J. can keep up his stellar performance for his next 2 starts before the break and maintain his ERA of 1.83 and WHIP under 1 he should be the Starting Pitcher for the NL.
