August 12, 201016 yr This sucks, Im going down to atlanta for the series at the end of September. I was hoping to see Coghlan and i was hoping to see Chipper before he retired.
August 12, 201016 yr Author Chipper officially out for the year with a torn ligament really? Hadn't heard that yet.... So, this brings up the obvious question....Does he hang them up?
August 12, 201016 yr I think Chipper might want to start taking some HGH or something. Ive heard he is not very keen on working out in the off season and doesn't take great care of himself. Gotta think if he kept himself in better condition he wouldn't be hurt so much.
August 12, 201016 yr A shame if Chipper's career ends with an injury Yeah this and plus the fact he's close to 500 Homeruns. At his age and with nagging injuries coming i doubt he gets there and I hope to see at least one more good year out of him before he retires.

Either way, a great career, if he hangs them up now, I still say he gets into the hall, personally. Third most all time homers by a switch hitter, if I'm not mistaken?
August 13, 201016 yr What a damn shame... he should be able to retire on his own terms. But I am guessing we are a little premature to be declaring his retirement right now.
