This is probably the coolest thing I've ever seen at a Sports Stadium during a game and I love how the players do infact react especially the outfielders. It seems like a every home game thing and has gone back for a couple of decades and is an all around great tradition. Can't wait to be there live next year. This Makes me want to be a Yankee (player) one day. (That and the fat paycheck)

August 18, 201015 yr I can't remember when it was, but we did a roll call here one day a few years ago. It was a Marlins blowout in the middle of the week plus there was a long rain delay, by the end of the game there was noone there, legitimately 750 people. We got bored and started a roll call, first the outfielder, then the infielders, then we worked on to the umps. We actually got the "First-base-uuuu-ump" to give us a waive.

August 19, 201015 yr Wish there was more songs and chants at baseball games like there is in soccer. Nothing beats 50,000 or so fans chanting in unison.
