True CRaysball
I bet y'all don't usually do this but I'm trying to get a variety of opinions, so I thought I'd try all the forums I'm on, which this is one. So you opinion would be greatly appreciated. Anyway, here's the story: I want to start my ov TV and FIlm production business one day and even though I'm far off from being able to attempt it, I have been obsession over what the logo should look like, by the way I think I'm gonna name my company Blue Cross Productions, anyway here's the logo I came up with last night using Adobe Fireworks CS5: Sorry about the size:
gizmo
Not crazy about the cross. Maybe add a shadow to it or something to make it jump out more. Otherwise its not bad. Maybe ease up on the glow a tad and match the color of the "Blue Cross" with the cross itself. I mean, take my suggestions for whatever they are worth. If you like what you got, then stick with it. It's your logo
True CRaysball
I could probably cut down on the glow effect honestly, but I do like what I have, this is the third logo I've tried, this is the best one yet IMO. I like you shadow for the cross Idea though.
True CRaysball
ok I took you suggestions in to mind and made modifications:
gizmo
Yeah I think that looks better. Play around with some different fonts. Whenever I'm designing something, I probably spend the most time finding the right font. Here's a great site for some free fonts. http://www.urbanfonts.com/
True CRaysball
I would but I'm under strict orders not to clog up my mom's laptops memory I had to use what I had, I don't think I had a bad font though.
mystikol87
I haven't taken Copyright Law yet, but I'm thinking there's a decent chance that name may violate Blue Cross Blue Shield's rights in some way....

I don't think so, two different industries, no to mention I don't think you can copy right the name of a color and a shape can you? Don't think it meets the threshold of originality I think. Rabbethan
That's the best one. The Cross might still be a little too big but that's great.

The World Wildlife Fund sued the World Wrestling Federation because they both used WWF. It doesnt matter if it is the same industry or not. I would avoid the Blue Cross name is possible. If you business remains small, it wont be an issue. However, if you think your Blue Cross production is going to get somewhat big, get ready to be sued. If they wanted too they could have kept using WWF here.

Rabbethan
Just to make sure, this IS a Christian thing, right? Because if not you might want to rethink the concept.
True CRaysball
Well I'm not gonna limit myself to a Christian product, but it will generally be a Christian company.
mystikol87
I think it's too Jewish. Anyone who wants to go into the TV and film production business must be a descendant of good ol' Abraham.
