Do we want Michael Young?

Featured Replies

Michael Young is looking to be moved on the cheap, actually he can be had for nothing if they accept to takeover his 13 million dollar salary. Texas is trying to keep Beltre away from the Halos by signing him themselves but they would like to dump Young's Salary as well . If we could get Murphy included in a trade it would be a dream of a transaction... A Marlin's fan can only dream

Hell no.

Isn't he earning $16MM each year over 2011, 2012, and 2013? And he'll be 34 this season. And he didn't even put up an .800 OPS in 2010.

The Marlins would be stupid to tie up that much money on him. He's still a decent player, but the price is bad and he's getting old. They'd be better off saving that money on free agent pitching in the future.

no freakin way.....too much long term money for a declining player. the only thing the team is missing right now is a lefty bat that could preferably play CF. so i was thinking why not fred lewis, he's always had pretty good numbers against righties.
