I know of at least one book that came out after the '97 season that chronicled the Marlins entire season. From what I remember it wasn't very flattering tho. The author even punched fun at Leyland.

If They Don't Win It's a Shame: The Year the Marlins Bought the World Series That's the 1997 Marlins book I believe you're referring to.
