Posted July 17, 201113 yr How do you all feel about the recent rumors that the Marlins are considering trading Anibal and/or Ricky? Personally I hope we keep Anibal. If Josh can come back to his regular form next season, he and Anibal would make for a solid top of the rotation. I wouldn't mind trading Ricky if we get a nice package of minor leaguers for him from a team that really needs starting pitching for their run towards the playoffs.

If we want to win we need BIG leaguers not to fill our farm system!

July 17, 201113 yr There aren't any rumours on our end about us trading Ricky or Nolasco. Others teams may have indicated they would like to acquire them, but the Marlins are not going to trade 2 integral parts of the rotation.

There actually have been rumors that Sanchez and Nolasco could be on the market.

But Loria is saying (PBP article from Saturday) that he pretty much wants to keep the team intact. He also commented on fixing the minor league system so we have guys that are ready and can come up in case of injuries. So look for some type of trades this off season to bolster that, plus some coaching and scouting changes.

Certainly havent seen anything from Marlins reporters suggesting they are on the market.
