7/24 Post Game

Featured Replies

I watched the game until we went 2-0 down and then I switched it on to HBO and saw this weird film, Dinner With Schmucks.

I switched back to check the score slightly later and then it was 4-2. Surprising, but nice.

Checked back later and it was... 8-3 I believe. Even more surprising, but nicer!

Film was over so I watched the end where it then became 8-5.

So the 6 innings or whatever I saw of the game was 4-0 to the Mets, but I don't care because we won.

Nunez proves the save is overrated. If not for June, he'd be leading the majors by at least 5 saves and might even be on record pace. But he's just not that good. I wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw him in the playoffs.

Yes, I know it wasn't a save situation in last night's game.

The game thread is only one page and only 3 posts here. Is everybody out parting or was the Brewers sweep the final nail in the coffin for the season to a lot of people?

After later today's game there'll be two threads with the same title. :whistle

Fixed. :thumbup

According to ESPN's box score of the game, Duda's HR was 447 feet. That's almost upper deck. Which is pretty much impossible in right field. I can't get a mental picture if the right field stands though, so I don't know for sure. I seem to remember hearing though, that it would take a 550 ft shot to make the right field upper deck. I had to work last night because someone was on vacation so I didn't see the game.

You can just put on FS Florida right now; the replay of the HR is coming up in about 20 minutes.

McKeon's facial expression after the Dude HR is priceless. Sadly, not up on Marlins site and Mets site is from their telecast. But basically...his mouth was hanging open and he was shocked. Over the tunnel in RF...just CRUSHED. Off a 91 mph too...

yea. i saw it at the game and the ball was slaughtered.

Yesterday I remarked that Gaby's bat has been slumping for a while even after the Friday dinger. Then he comes out with 2 HR's, a double, and 4 ribbies.

Sooooo.......

Hanley's bat is slumping again.

even more amazing is that we're all writing about the post game for today 7/24!!!

As for post-game 7/23 while it wasn't pretty, Badenhop got his second victory and both are against the Muts. Good to see Gaby getting it going.
