September 13, 201115 yr Murphy played a great shortstop except for the play that cost Volstad. He pitched good again and should have gotten the win. Tough luck. Stanton is as strong as anyone I've seen. Cishek should be the closer next year.
September 13, 201115 yr Interesting that we won this game with most injuried when a short time ago we didn't seem to belong in the same ballpark as the Braves. And we just swept the Pirates which beat the Cardinals, lol. Right now we could be in a spoiler's role. Hmmmmmmmmmm :huh :mis2
September 13, 201115 yr It is rather interesting that we play the Braves and Brewers back to back. What we do will shape the Cards' playoff hopes (unless they continue to lose to the Pirates). edit: not back to back, but down the stretch.
September 13, 201115 yr There's nothing left to be spoiled in the National League. The AL is a much different story. Things could get interesting there.
