What to get now vs what to get for 2013

Featured Replies

I was curious to see what you guys believe we should go after now vs what we should invest in the future

Just to give a little preview to those who haven't taken a look at the 2013 class:

Pitchers:

Matt Cain

Zack Greinke

Dan Haren

James Shields

John Danks

Tim Hudson

Ervin Santana

Shaun Marcum

Colby Lewis

Francisco Liriano

Gavin Floyd

Jose Valverde

Joakim Soria

Joe Saunders

Kyle Lohse

Batters:

Matt Kemp

Josh Hamilton

Ian Kinsler

Brian Mccann

David Wright

Stephen Drew

Brandon Phillips

Andre Ethier

BJ Upton

Mike Napoli

I think its a pretty good time to start opening the bank, what do you guys want now and what do you guys want out of this class?

You do it now, because you have the means to.

The Marlins can potentially field a very good team if they play it smart this offseason, especially with the emergence of the Cuban defector that could play CF. The time for waiting is over, honestly.

I'm not saying we should be conservative this offseason, what I'm saying is maybe you'd rather stack on certain areas now and later

I would think some of those guys would get extensions, but that is still an extremely impressive crop of pitchers.

Some of those guys have team options as well.. Pretty sure Haren and Santana for the Angels each have team options

I want Ervin Santana because if we get him, I'd get great tickets to a lot of games.
