November 26, 200322 yr I would have to go with Boston. The 2 best pitchers in the game are/will be in the same team. You just cant compete with that. Second would come the Cubs Rotation. They are just plain Filthy when it comes to them
November 26, 200322 yr I'll go with Mark Buehrle and Esteban Loaiza, with A.J. Burnett and Josh Beckett a close second. And of course, I say that with absoloutely no bias. :shifty :whistle
November 26, 200322 yr The AJ-Beckett Combination is my pick. I would of gone with that one instead but it wasnt on the list. That would be a good combo. 2 Fireballers that can reach 100 MPH and still havent proven enough what they can do ( specially AJ).
November 26, 200322 yr If AJ doesnt get injured he has 16 wins. If Beckett isnt out a month or 2 (dont know how long he was exactly ouy) he has 14-16 Wins.
November 26, 200322 yr pedro is getting old and losing some of his stuff. Schilling is Old and and can get injured.
November 27, 200322 yr Chicago will have more success in the long-term with Prior and Wood. Martinez has been injured too much, and Schilling is at the end of his career. Chicago is my choice.
November 27, 200322 yr Its Either Chicago or the Marlins... Both of these rotations will domate their divisions for Years
November 27, 200322 yr sorry but Schilling to Bo Sox ain't a done deal yet Yea but read the Poll Question. You will find out that they are in the process of him coming to Boston.
November 27, 200322 yr Author sorry but Schilling to Bo Sox ain't a done deal yet Didnt you read the question? If Schilling accepts the trade to Red Sox, which team will have the best 1-2 combination?
November 27, 200322 yr A's. Their ballpark helps, but no other combination is as consistent and dominating as these two. Woods is inconsistent, and both the Cubs starters will eventually go down with injuries. Pedro rarely makes it past 6 innings, and Schilling may never pitch 200 innings again. Beckett is my early favorite for NL Cy Young, but both have struggled with injuries.
November 27, 200322 yr The three best 1-2 punches in baseball are: 1. Mulder- Hudson 2. Zito-Hudson 3. Mulder-Zito
November 27, 200322 yr The AJ-Beckett Combination is my pick. Here is someone that knows what they are talking about... my vote is AJ Beckett
