Reminder about signatures

Featured Replies

Some signatures are getting out of hand lately and spreading the screen, slowing down load times, and making the boards look ugly.

Users are complaining and with reason. So here's a reminder from the Forum Guidelines.

Signatures may contain images, but may not be any larger than 300x100; 468x60 banners are also permitted (within reason).? Please keep your sigs to one or two pics maximum.? If your signature is larger than the allotted size given or deemed unacceptable by staff, you will be requested by a moderator to resize or change your image. Please also try and keep text signatures under 5 lines. Failing to comply with a moderator's request will result in the removal of your signature.

As it says we will ask you to change it yourself... if you don't we will do it for you. Constant problems could lead to possible short suspensions. I doubt anyone will reach that.

and in keeping with my MO......

there are no more warnings.

*edit*

there have been a few to ruin it for all. If I am alerted of a sig that breaks rules you will have a warning. Second will be removal. Third will be possible suspension.

*edit*

There has been too much lax in this stuff.

Enough is enough.

suspension?

why not just erase their pics for them without asking them?

once you delete the pics, if they go out and add more pics, then suspension is more than reasonable

I too think it would be more fair to send out a warning for the first offense. After that, if they fail to comply, then it's reasonable of a possible suspension.

so i like law and order.

in high school, we often lived with the rule of the minority ruining it for hte majority.

i have to forget...we dont have the same standards here necessarily.

we have to be 'fair and just'.....

oh ok, just making sure

thought the banner might have been too wide/big

Is my sig okay? :plain

well, the team sucks but thats another story

Seriously, this site is taking forever to load constantly for me. And I have DSL and all my other sites and stuff loads more than fine.

i have MSN 56k dialup, althoguh I never get more than 49k and the sigs that bother me are the ones with all the players pics on them like the one the giants and cubs fans use. banners and single pictures load up quick.

But then again, MSN 8.0 is pretty quick for dialup, my friends cable takes longer!
