June 26, 201214 yr In for the week from South Carolina! Will be at tonights, tomo, and Fridays game! So excited and have a few questions.. 1. Best place to park? Im 20, poor, and not trying to get robbed so where is the best place for me to park? 2. Best spot to get autographs and pictures after the game? I see a lot of people on twitter getting pictures with the players when they walk out...where would this be? 3. When do the gates open and Marlins start taking BP? 4. Anything else you can reccomend/suggest would be much appreciated! Thanks and Go Marlins!
June 26, 201214 yr Parking is pretty simple. If the garages are sold out, there are plenty of place around the stadium to park within 2-3 blocks. I parked at a spot right off the highway for like $10. Easy to get out after the game. It was like 3 blocks. Before the game is the best time to get autographs and pics. Players want to get out of there after the game. During BP and when they are waming up, they will take pics and sign autographs. 1 1/2 hours before the game. Don't buy tix at the gate. You will be there forever. Buy them online or at ticketmaster or something.
June 27, 201214 yr If you haven't checked, Miami parking garages are $15-20. You can find parking cheaper like stated earlier but you will be walking 2-3 blocks. There is a lot of police presence around because the park is surrounded by a lot of residential area. Consequently a lot of two lane streets and congestion, but it moves pretty fast because the police monitor/control traffic flow. So walking a couple blocks and the rob issue should not be an issue. Actually I haven't heard of any robbery issues or care break ins. Have I just been missing them???? This was a big topic before/while the park was being built.

It was based I believe, mostly on prejudiced stereotypes from the hyper-anti-Hispanic crowd. The area around Marlins Park, while mostly working class & lower income, are mainly law-abiding and mostly friendly.
June 27, 201214 yr The only people who are going to rob you are the Marlins front office and the concession stands.
