No. Context, it's not the same question.

 

I personally prefer new to old, but enjoy both. If those who hate the new like the old, and those who like the new also like the old, more people will be happy with the old.

True, old has taken a 3 vote lead now anyway.

Yeah, can we please just call it now in favor of the old way? Nobody really complained about that old layout in the past. It's just so much more practical. It sounds like there are other people like me who just find the new layout to be a bitch to navigate.

 

Yeah, the new way is shiny and fancy, but that's not always better.

It's weird because private feedback was in favor of it.

 

I also put a considerable amount of time into the new look which would just now be wasted.

 

I'd rather leave the poll open a bit longer and let a few more people vote and then I'll decide what to do.

Sorry to bash something you put effort into. I assumed it was part of the forum graphics package you use. I just happen to be of the mindset that simpler is better. Of course, I could probably get used to the new layout if that's what you decide to do.

 

Admittedly the Marlins' new logos/uniforms don't assault my eyes as much as they used to initially.

The normal packaged skin is something we had here about two years ago but since then it's been a few custom skins. This particular one is based on a custom skin made by another company but I tailored it more to the site. No offense taken, I appreciate all feedback.

 

I'll definitely listen to the people on this and I'd be willing to toss away the work if I feel it's best for the forum. I'll probably leave the poll open until Friday and then make a decision one way or the other.

Too difficult to maintain two main skins since I have to re-do them for every new version of the software.

It's one or the other and right now it's looking like we'll be going back to a standard looking forum for two reasons.

 

1) Majority apparently likes the old look more

2) Easier to maintain it in the future since the default skin has a closer look to it
