Good to see a former Marlin get paid. Even if he probably doesn't deserve it.

Haha...wow.

$8.5mil/yr....wow.

Something tells me that in 6 months, d-backs fans will pissed.

I think the deal is pretty fair. Shane Victorino got 3/39 not so long ago.

If it's an overpayment, it's basically because you think every free agent is overpaid, which is probably true. Either way, put into context, it's fine.

He's also a better player than Jason Kubel, for what it's worth. That's a nice upgrade. Then again, if they did it to trade Justin Upton, lol.

Well I'm moving out to the desert in a few weeks so I guess I will get to see Mr. Ross again. Hopefully I'll also get to see some of that hot meltdown Heath Bell action too.

Towers is a terrible GM. He has two ML ready outfielders coming up through the system now but he commits 3 years to Ross? Why?

Welcome to AZ - you'll be here in time for spring training, which is a great time .... maybe even the golf tournament (think waste management is the sponsor now - it's a pretty crazy scene

Although not a great sports town, it's a great town to be a sports fan
