April 15, 201313 yr We did wonders for Halladay's ERA today. He went from an ERA of 14.97 to an ERA of 7.63. It may indeed be May before a Marlins player hits a home run at Marlins Ballpark. 9 more home games before May. No way we go that long without a HR.

Nothing would please me more than to be wrong about my original predictions, which is why I now say April 25, but with this team I honestly don't know. We lack hitting power, and if you've ever been to batting practice at Marlins Park you'll know how hard it is to hit the ball out of that ballpark. I've never before been to a ballpark where the ball wants to stay in the field as much as Marlins Park. But then again, we have an exceptionally big ballpark. Although the dimensions are about the same as Sunlife Stadium, the way the field is enclosed tends to keep the ball in the field more than the rather open venue at Sunlife Stadium (at least that is my perception.) Could have something to do with the difference in wind patterns and atmosphere from a more enclosed area than the old stadium. Perhaps someone else might have a different opinion or even disagree with me, but that's what I think.
April 15, 201313 yr I never wanted that thing to be lit.... now I am getting my wish. I should be careful what I wish for.
