The When Will the Home Run Feature Come Alive This Season Contest

Featured Replies

Despite our best efforts, the Miami Marlins have yet to hit a home run at Marlins Ballpark. Unfortunately this means that fans have so far missed out on the colorful display of our home run monstrosity.

When will we see our flamboyant and expensive home run feature come alive this season? Be the one to predict it an win bragging rights.

I'll be the first to take a stab at it: April 12 when we host the Phillies in town for the first game of the first series against them.

Tomorrow, when Donovan Solano singles. They'll realize at that point that singles are the only thing this team can accomplish.

Maybe they should start turning it on for extra base hits.

or when someone gets on base

I do think they should start setting it off for more events than just home runs. We aren't gonna hit many this year so it will just be awkwardly sitting there the whole time. Maybe for hits that result in multiple RBI? Or triples? Or every time the team wins? Or every time there are double digit fans in the ballpark?

It's going off tonight for sure.

They're going to test it to make sure it's still working.

Sunday April 14th when they face Halladay, if it doesn't happen by then it may be May before it happens

Did ya ever think there would come a day that we'd actually be looking forward to facing Halladay?

Way to go Marlins, making Halladay look like a Cy Young winner!

We did wonders for Halladay's ERA today. He went from an ERA of 14.97 to an ERA of 7.63.

It may indeed be May before a Marlins player hits a home run at Marlins Ballpark.
