For as bad as the trade looked at the time...especially given the ownership and history...I feel like the Marlins got the better end of it.

ALREADY the sixth double play LoMo has hit into this year.

Red has to change the lineup more than moving hech...the entire middle of the order has been awful lately.

 

About the only good thing from Guillen last year was his willingness to change things if they weren't working. Reyes as 3/Stanton as 4 worked for a while.

I want to know why the metrics don't like hech...eye test shows he's phenomenal. ..metrics should at least say he's good..

His range factor is so low compared to league average, and after that play, I'm curious to know how.

You have to wonder...if a guy like hech, who was completely hopeless early in the season, can be making contact so regularly...why does everyone else swing at pitches in the dirt and strike out at ridiculous rates?

Bats look really awful, this guy apparently has the best changeup in baseball. So many of these swing and miss pitches are in the dirt.

 

And there's another, I think Brantly swung at the same freaking pitch three times.

How many innings without a run now ...?

Pretty sure Brantly has one of the slowest swings in baseball...it just looks awful.

 

I know the Marlins wanna see him develop, but if there is a really good catching prospect available at what will probably be pick #2 or #3...they have to take him, right?

I think mostly they're just young. Unless you have a guy like LoMo or maybe Moran who has repeatedly been a patient hitter in the minors, it takes a while to develop that. We have a lot of aggressive free swingers here. Again I think LoMo is the only guy presently who isn't chasing all the time.

Maybe, even being patient, lomo has been bad.
