7/21 Marlins @ Brewers

That hech leadoff switch is good in theory...but in theory the Marlins would have someone to knock him in. Wish they had a guy like that....someone who could hit around 30 HRs, around 80-90 rbi's...and maybe hit anywhere from .260 to .290...

Hech would need to improve on his .284 OBP first. He doesn't walk and hasn't been a big avg guy yet either. Why worry about someone driving him in when he isn't that good at getting on base in the first place? I don't deny he's been amazing this last month with the bat, but would have to see more of a sample size.

Ive never witnesed a more inept offense. Its almost become comical how bad these "professional" hitters are.

Dobbs is the only professional hitter, Lakeshow. Gosh.

But in all seriousness ... inexperienced guys like Ozuna, Hech, etc., you're gonna see these things. Next year and 2015, when they're more molded as Major Leaguers, I think we'll see some improvement. At least I hope.Hech is currently the best hitter. I'm not even that disappointed by guys like dietrich, ozuna, hech, lucas, etc. I'm disappointed in Stanton and to a lesser degree Morrison. Guys who have been in the majors or a few years and are supposed to be the primary run producers on the team. They are currently amongst the worst hitters on a terrible hitting team.

When they first came back, and were hitting well, Marlins Offense jumped to about middle of the pack. That didn't last long though.

His past stats have no bearing on his current production because if he wasn't getting on base recently he wouldn't have been moved to the top of the order.

Hottest hitter and best hitter aren't the same things. Hechavarria is our hottest hitter, he's very far from our best hitter.

Morrison and Stanton both have OPS' over .800. They're the only guys on the team with OPS' over .800 (hell probably the only guys over .750. It's absolutely hilarious to say you're disappointed in the two best hitters on the team.

It's times like these where I wish we still had the downvote button. That post is one of the most downvote worthy posts I've seen on this board in a while.

The pitching has been great over the last two months. The offense is still the worst in baseball.

That's why I said "currently". Skimmed over that did you? Perhaps you can take some lessons on reading comprehension...or implied statements?

Also, Stanton does not have an OPS over .800

Hell change the post to .720+ OPS and Stanton and Morrison are STILL the only regular starters on the team above that.

Baseball is played over a season. I'm not giving Hechavarria a gold medal for being the worst offensive player in baseball over the first three months of the season. I've already said I'm happy for Hech to be improving, but your post said that "Hech is currently the best hitter". That's not true. He's the hottest hitter. At one point Jeff Mathis was our hottest hitter. That doesn't mean either of them were at any point the best hitters on the team.

Your username is fitting.

I love when people result to insults rather than actually adding real substance on this board. It adds SOOOO much to the discussion >_>

There is nothing to add. Hech is currently hitting better than everyone on the team. I never said, "he's been the best hitter this season". You took what I said and twisted it to mean something different. You were wrong.

Whats the major league record? At this rate, Yelica will be up next week.

Apparently, 52. We've got 16 more to go.

Unless this game goes 16 more, I don't think we'll reach it, since we'll be in Colorado next.
