February 27, 201412 yr Too bad for most of us, we'll be at that game... lol Exactly. Oh well. Rather be there.
February 28, 201412 yr Quality of the diamond club food has gone down a bit since 2012, but still very good. Its all about showing up very early. Day games are the best. Get there early and have breakfast. Then eat lunch and get drunk. Its a great time. That does sound like a brilliant idea...
March 1, 201412 yr Am I the only one that prefer starting the season with an afternoon game? Usually, like every year, it's a day game. Interesting that's changed this year, but it's nice to get some national attention on Opening Day.

March 2, 201412 yr Am I the only one that prefer starting the season with an afternoon game? Traditionally, yes. But I love the night games just cuz I'll be at home to watch it. Nothing sucks more than having to experience the hoopla of opening day through gameday on my work computer while my students run amok in my classroom. Seriously sucks, last years opening day was checking the first few innings from my work computer, rushing home to watch the last few innings, then restarting my dvr recording just to watch the opening festivities and first few pitches after the game had already ended. March 7, 201412 yr Am I the only one that prefer starting the season with an afternoon game? Not the only one. Baseball was a game made to be played during the day. I'll be there opening night by the way. Section 26, I think.

March 8, 201412 yr Author Not the only one. Baseball was a game made to be played during the day. I'll be there opening night by the way. Section 26, I think. It's more about missing school/work being part of opening day culture.

Everyone I know expects me to take that day off. But lights were added to boost ticket sales, and it has worked. Not messing up a tradition, I'll be at this game. Section 8.
