I don't buy that article. LeBatard listed cutesy little stories. None of them said anything about drunk driving, ignoring a fellow countryman who just wanted to give reassurance, or having one's own fucking theme song as walk-up music. People have different types of character, and I don't think it's fair to compare Vladimir Guerrero being afraid of leaving his mother, or Luis Castillo accidentally pushing a fire alarm, to all the crap that Puig has pulled.

I don't think it's about completely excusing what he's done, but rather about giving some context to his situation.
