Good idea to bring in Jennings to start an inning. He can't allow inherited runners to score.

I've never seen innings turn the way they do against the Marlins. Just like with Turner.

I ain't gonna argue with you guys about Heaney. Three games in a row he gives up big HRs. He doesn't have overpowering stuff, and he still needs to learn how to pitch up here. Take the hit by Donaldson and Callaspo before the HR. He had been living low in the zone and the A's adjusted their swings because they are very good hitters. Mixing up pitches a little better will help him; Low, high, inside, outside. Everything can't be low or hitters will adjust. By the 6th inning the A's had figured him out.

 

Anyway I'm not saying he won't be good; in fact I believe he will be. But all those guys who told me that he is better than Henderson Alvarez and others who expected him to save the Marlins' season were dreaming.

He hasn't done that yet, I'll give you that, but in time, after a bit more experience, he'll be good. At least, I hope so.
