Pence just hits. All he does is hit.

Is Menechino teaching the Giants hitters to hit em where they ain't? Traitor.

Wow ...

Good job to limit the damage.

Damn this big ass ballpark!

Good work, Hand.

Hech sucks. He just sucks. Always swinging at the first pitch, always grounding out to second, or short ... just sucks.

I say again, Pence just hits.

Nicely turned double play! SOMEBODY ELSE POST!

Do you guys really think Mcgehee will be traded or is it just overreacting pessimism?

SOMEBODY ELSE POSTED! WOO HOO!

I don't think so, but if someone gives us a rather handsome offer, I say take it.

It's a tough spot. I understand trading him because he's been hot and historically he hasn't been this successful so there is a potential it might not last. That being said I like Mcgehee and I like the fresh outlook he has on hitting.

Basically, I don't want him to be traded for 3 more guys that suck, and the marlins are famous for that.

Unfortunately, this is true. If there's a team, however, that needs a productive bat for a playoff surge, could possibly swindle a decent prospect from them.

If we're gonna trade Cishek, throw him in the Angels direction, or Oakland's, see if they bite - both could use bullpen help.

Who would you have in mind for a return?

I honestly haven't a clue, but if the A's traded away a couple of their top prospects for Samardzija/Hammel, I'd imagine they'd be willing to part with another for Cishek - they probably don't want to see Jim Johnson ever again.

Definitely true. I wouldn't mind getting a new catcher and/or first basemen but I know that's beyond wishful thinking with all the other problems

Been watching this game/listening to it on...first on the roku, now on the phone.

:gomiamib Go Marlins, and just ordered pizza from Domino's.

Did Valdspin just get a hit?

We should look at the Street deal as an idea for what we can get for Cishek. Knowing the Marlins though, it'll be Cishek and McGehee to Oakland for Jim Johnson, Nick Punto, and cash considerations.

I'm keeping my eye on Chad Wallach at the moment for catcher. Hot in Greensboro, just moved up to Jupiter. I had my eye on Austin Barnes but after moving him to Jacksonville during last year, they started him back in Jupiter this year, so not sure how to feel about him. Then there's Realmuto, not sure on him yet.

As for first basemen, there's Viosergy Rosa, Bour, Canha, etc - we've got some depth there, but not amazing depth. Kyle Jensen is another possibility but he's similar to a couple of our hitters - powerful but lots of Ks and low average.

If we could snag a shortstop from somewhere, that'd be nice, too. I do have hope for our 2nd round pick Justin Twine.

Alright, Ozuna, I get on you ... ALL the time for getting extra base hits when it doesn't matter. This is a relatively clutch spot. Please, prove me wrong, get a hit in a clutch spot a la Arizona last week.

Or don't. *sigh*

Lincicum literally gave up 3 pitches to 3 hitters that each could have been taken deep

Just cause I'm a stickler for names being spelled correctly - it's LincEcum. Either way, he has cum in his name.

I agree completely, though.

Brad Hand just gave us 7 innings of 2 run ball. With Kevin "The Answer" Gregg not around, who will Redmond call on to blow this game?

If Hech could work out how not to GIDP twice a game he'd be some player. Oh and could steal, run the bases and hit for power.
