I'm upset due to his degratory comments towards the organization. i second that... it's one thing to be greedy and just want more money. it's another thing to make prickish comments like that and make it sound like the team is being dismantled. something along the lines "I thank the Marlins for the 2003 opportunity and I wish them the best for the future, I'm sad we couldn't come to terms . . .blah blah," Why is that so hard?

December 8, 200322 yr The part of his statement that gets me is that he said hes the first player that helped his team when the championship and afterwords not offered a raise or some BS like that. Guess he doest care enough to kno that this club aint the yank$, and they have very lil money to be throwin around on ONE player. Oh greedy Fudge, you crack me up! :whistle

December 8, 200322 yr Why do people hate Fudge? Because he played for the Marlins one year,helpd them win the W.S.?Nw the contract he is offered is not what he wants so he leaves. What does he owe the Marlins and there fans that the World Series win did not cover? To come back?Is that why people hate him? I can understand being angry but hating him? It is how baseball is done. The Marlin fans maybe feel like Fudge did when after 16 years with the Rangers they deside they no longer want him.Maybe people hate him because of the giant statue in his backyard? Funny, no one hated it when he held onto that ball to beat the Giants. I dont think most of hate him -- it is more disappointment that he doesn't understand what his market value is. I think the Marlins offered him a market value contract and he made it sound like he was offered nothing. That is disappointing and I think most people thought Fudge was a better person than that.
