If we don't trade McKirahan and he doesn't make the team, he gets put on waivers where someone will surely claim him for nothing. So yeah, makes more sense to trade Hand and see what McKirahan can do. Plus Hand sucks.

It's actually amazing we got anything of real value for him at that point. Morrison is without a doubt a guy who needed a change of scenery.

It's actually amazing we got anything of real value for him at that point. Morrison is without a doubt a guy who needed a change of scenery. Still think we should have waited him out another season rather than give him up for a 23-year-old with a 5.04 ERA in the majors. But whatever. It's done.
