December 8, 200321 yr Author If they win the NL East with that roster, even with some improvements means that the NL East became a one team division.
December 8, 200321 yr think of it this way... saving the money on Maddux could be used for a Pettite or Millwood (did any of them get arbitration?), Lopez's money for a roderiguez once he gets down from that cloud and who knows? vlad in RF? damn the pessimist in me
December 8, 200321 yr Author marlins02, the braves let them go because 2004 payroll must be lower than 2003. AOLTimeWarner now TimeWarner has made it so.
December 8, 200321 yr Yeah, not so fast with the Brave eulogy yet (even though I wont be eulogizing them when they do drop dead). They do have money freed up and there are a lot of options out there. There is talk of them landing Worrell, which could go a long way with Smoltz in the pen. Vlad could go to ATL, but I doubt he would. You never know though...
December 8, 200321 yr MARLINS SHOULD REALLY BOOST UP THE BULLPEN. STARTING WITH ARTHUR RHODES - A GREAT LEFTY OUT OF THE BULLPEN. ALSO, RE - SIGN LOOPER AND PENNY.
December 8, 200321 yr Author the braves have no money freed up, they had to cut payroll to make up for budget cuts from coprorate in New York.
December 8, 200321 yr BRAVES NEED TO CUT PAYROLL TO AROUND 80 MILLION. THOUGHT YOU GUYS MIGHT WANNA KNOW
December 8, 200321 yr Author Braves fans are now getting the corporate shaft as they call it and many are not even renewing season tix.
December 8, 200321 yr BRAVES NEED TO CUT PAYROLL TO AROUND 80 MILLION. THOUGHT YOU GUYS MIGHT WANNA KNOW THANK YOU!!
December 8, 200321 yr if you think about it they might still get cheaper, they have Maddux's $15 mill off the table (no pitcher is going to command that much) "that other guy, i aint saying his name" aint getting the $10 mill he wants, he might not even get the $7 we were offering so they can still do somethings
December 8, 200321 yr Poor poor braves I think that only the phillies and the mets will be true contenders this coming season.
December 8, 200321 yr Author Poor poor braves I think that only the phillies and the mets will be true contenders this coming season. along with us right?
December 8, 200321 yr Author Yes, my sig is an MS Paint Production! I make some of my graphics with paint, but I use PictureIt that comes with MSN 8.0 for everything now including my sig!
December 8, 200321 yr wohwoh.....hold it! Although undoubtedly weaker, the piece of s*** Braves still have chipper, andruw, russ ortiz, hampton, furcal, giles and one of the best closers in baseball : Smoltz....I pray every night that the franchise f***ing dissapears, but they're still a long way from doing so!
December 8, 200321 yr And they refuse to give their talented first base prospects a chance with resigning Julio Franco.
December 9, 200321 yr Poor poor braves I think that only the phillies and the mets will be true contenders this coming season. along with us right?
